DUNDU

Version française

Terms of use

This English translation is here to help. If the two versions differ, the French version prevails.

1. Dundu in a few words

Dundu is an app for listening to music, following lives and buying commercial licences. It puts forward artists who sing in the languages of the savannah, and those around them. Dundu was created and is published by BABA Faycal. These terms apply to the app, the website and the service.

By using Dundu, you accept these terms.

2. Your account

To create an account, you need a valid email address and a password, or your Google or Apple account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: what is done from your account is your responsibility. You must be at least 13 years old.

Your account is yours alone. You may not lend it, sell it or give it away.

You can delete it whenever you like, in the app or on the website's "Delete my account" page (see section 9).

3. The songs

Songs are published by their artists. The Dundu team may also publish songs for an artist, but only with their written consent; the artist can then claim their profile and run it themselves. Every artist promises to hold the rights to what they publish (see the publishing rules).

If you think one of your works is online without your consent, report it. We look into it, and we take it down if you are right.

4. Listening

Without a subscription, each song plays for 30 seconds: enough to discover it. With an account, you can also follow lives (listen, without taking part) and write comments. These plays do not count towards artists' earnings. Full songs and offline listening need a subscription.

Each plan says what it includes. The Essentiel plan lets you listen and write in lives, but not take part by voice (voice shout-outs), leave voice comments, or start a live.

The current limits are shown in the app. They may change, but never during a subscription: a subscription you have paid for keeps its terms until it ends.

5. Downloads

A downloaded song gives you the right to listen to it offline for a while. It is not a copy that you own:

Breaking these protections, taking the sound out of the app or passing it on is forbidden, and will end your access.

6. Comments, voices and lives

You can comment on songs in writing or out loud, react, follow people and artists, join lives and send shout-outs. What you post, others can see or hear, and you are responsible for it.

In a comment, a voice message, a shout-out, a live, a name or a profile photo, you may not:

Reporting: every song and every comment can be reported from the app. Our moderation team looks at every report. It can remove content, warn, suspend or ban an account.

Blocking: you can stop seeing someone's comments, and an artist can stop someone from commenting on their songs. A comment can be deleted by its author or by the song's artist.

A live does not last: 24 hours after it ends, its shout-outs, messages and replay are erased.

7. Commercial licences

A licence lets you use a song within set limits: exclusive or not, for an area and for a length of time. What you buy is fixed at the moment of purchase; if the catalogue changes later, your right does not.

Your licence certificate is in your account. It is the proof of what you bought.

8. What is not allowed

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app or on the website's "Delete my account" page, even if you have uninstalled the app. The privacy policy explains what is erased, what is kept and for how long.

10. Payments

Payments go through a payment provider (mobile money, bank card). Prices are shown in CFA francs, all taxes included. A subscription can also be opened with a gift card, without paying anything.

A subscription starts when the payment is confirmed, not when you start it. With mobile money, confirmation can take a few hours.

11. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep Dundu running without interruption, but we cannot promise it: there is maintenance, network outages, and failures at our providers.

Our liability cannot exceed what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the platform is established. If we disagree, we will first look for a friendly solution before any legal action.

13. Changes

Every change is published with a new version and a new date. If a change is important, we let you know in the app.
